West Shore Community College’s Theater Department proudly presents the classic fairytale, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Audiences of all ages are invited to experience the magic at WSCC’s Center Stage Theater during a series of performances scheduled from Oct. 24 to Nov. 10.
Step into the enchanted world of this Broadway’s classic, an international sensation that has captivated audiences in 37 countries. Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, this stage adaptation brings to life all the beloved songs from the original film. The production, which ran on Broadway for over thirteen years, earned nine Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical. With a run time of 110 minutes, including an intermission, the show promises to enchant theatergoers young and old alike.
This WSCC production is set to dazzle, featuring a pit orchestra assembled from talent across the region, including Muskegon and Grand Rapids. “This is by far the largest and most talented cast I have had the pleasure of directing at WSCC,” stated Director of Theater Michelle Kiessel. “The depth of talent we in every role, including the ensemble, is astounding. Audiences will be charmed and mesmerized by this classic story and magical performance.”
