West Shore Community College’s HumanKind Series is pleased to announce their next event, Healing through Story and the Science of Sharing,” to be held on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mason County District Library, Ludington. This free program invites community members to explore the transformative power of storytelling as a path toward healing, connection, and personal growth.

The evening will feature WSCC’s Professor of Psychology Dr. John Moore, who will lead participants through an inspiring and interactive session on how writing and speaking about difficult experiences can foster resilience. Drawing from both scientific insight and practical experience, Dr. Moore will discuss why sharing our stories matters and how self-expression can help individuals process trauma, reduce stress, and strengthen emotional well-being.

HumanKind is WSCC’s arts and culture lecture series, offering a wide range of programming, including presentations, workshops, film screenings, art exhibitions and performing arts events. For more information on upcoming HumanKind events, visit the westshore.edu or email humankind@westshore.edu.
