West Shore Community College has announced its 2025–2026 Performing Arts Series, featuring a diverse lineup of concerts, theatrical productions, and free community ensemble performances.
The season opens Sept. 20 with guitar virtuosos Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo performing at 7:30 p.m. in the college’s Center Stage Theater. Vignola, cited by Les Paul as one of the top five guitarists of all time, has worked with artists including Ringo Starr, Madonna, Donald Fagen, and Queen Latifah. His Gershwin tribute album, “I Got Rhythm,” was named a Top Ten Jazz CD by NPR.
The WSCC Theater Department will present the musical “Into the Woods” with evening performances Oct. 17–18, Oct. 24–25, and Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m., and matinees Oct. 19, Oct. 25–26, and Nov. 1–2 at 2 p.m.
On Nov. 22 at 7:30 p.m., The Filharmonic, a Los Angeles-based a cappella group, will perform at Center Stage Theater. Known for appearances on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and the film “Pitch Perfect 2,” the group blends hip-hop, pop, and ’90s nostalgia in an all-ages show.
The Holiday Rock Spectacular IV returns Dec. 6 with performances at 2 and 8 p.m., and again on Dec. 7 at 2 and 6 p.m. This high-energy production will feature Lou Musa of The Verve Pipe, Edgar Struble, Chloe Kimes, the WSCC Drumline, and more. The show includes rock, jazz, country, and holiday classics, and runs approximately two hours with one intermission.
The spring theater production is Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible,” with performances scheduled for Feb. 28 and March 6–7 at 7:30 p.m., and matinees March 1 and 8 at 2 p.m. The drama, set during the Salem witch trials, explores themes of hysteria and truth. It is recommended for audiences aged 13 and up. Auditions will be held Dec. 14–15 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Grammy Award-winning guitarist John Jorgenson brings his John Jorgenson Bluegrass Band (J2B2) to Center Stage Theater on March 21 at 7:30 p.m. Jorgenson, a founding member of the Desert Rose Band, has performed with Elton John, Bonnie Raitt, Luciano Pavarotti, and Earl Scruggs, and portrayed Django Reinhardt in the film “Head in the Clouds.”
