This film series is part of the 7th year of the Humankind series, focused on the theme, “Inclusion: Conversations Around a Crowded Table.” This theme explores ways we can build community and deepen our empathy towards people who are different from us to make sure everyone has a seat at the table. Accordingly, the films will each address the issue of belonging from different perspectives.

“This April we are looking forward to presenting another great Humankind Film Series in collaboration with West Shore Community College,” said Kelsey Rhodes, general manager of operations at the Vogue Theatre. “We have worked together to select films that showcase the greatness of inclusion in cinematic storytelling both in front of and behind the camera.  When everyone is welcome to fully participate in society, and film-making, we all benefit. We look forward to the reflection on and celebration of diversity throughout this series.”

The Humankind series is West Shore Community College’s culture and arts lecture series. The series consists of lectures, presentations, workshops, art exhibitions, film series, and much more. For more information about the Humankind series, visit westshore.edu or email humankind@westshore.edu.
