Many scholarships have a need component, to be considered for need based scholarships you must also complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Additional scholarship criteria may include grade point average (GPA), minimum enrollment level, participation in a particular activity or enrollment in a specific program of study.

Michigan Reconnect Scholarship
Eligible returning students age 21 and up can attend WSCC for free with Michigan Reconnect! For more information visit: https://www.michigan.gov/
Mason County Promise Scholarship
The Mason County Promise is a promise to provide scholarships for free tuition to WSCC to graduates in Mason County who:
- Graduate with a diploma and reside within the boundaries of one of the following three school districts within Mason County (Mason County Central Schools, Mason County Eastern Schools, Ludington Area School District) with a cumulative 2.00 Grade Point Average (GPA) or above; or,
- Graduate from Gateway to Success Academy with a cumulative 2.00 Grade Point Average or above; or,
- Obtain a GED and reside within the boundaries of Mason County

Manistee Commitment Scholarship Program
The Manistee Commitment Scholarship Program provides eligible students from Manistee County with financial support to pursue their education at West Shore Community College.
