New Student Registration

All new students, including transfer and dual enrollment students, are REQUIRED to complete an online orientation designed to highlight important aspects that will ensure a positive academic experience here at WSCC. First time in college students, as well as former Dual Enrolled students, will also be required to attend a New Student Registration (NSR) session. The NSR will cover:

  • Using your program of study to identify what courses you need.
  • View the Class Schedule to see what is being offered
  • Learn more about the full range of academic advising services.
  • Read some tips to help you prepare for advising.
  • Be aware of the Academic Calendar and important dates related to registration
How to Register

Advisors are available to assist you with registering for classes if you have questions about choosing classes. You need to Apply for Admission to obtain your user name and password before you can register.

Check the Class Schedule to find out what classes are being offered in the upcoming semester. Then, you must register online at my.westshore.edu either with an advisor or on your own, where you can manage your student account, explore class options, see your grades, and make payments.

Meet with an Advisor

Navigating college can be difficult but there are people who can answer your questions! Advisors can help with:

  • Exploring academic programs
  • Choosing courses
  • Explaining registration procedures
  • Identifying appropriate college resources
  • Understanding the MACRAO or MTA transfer requirements
  • Planning for transfer

Scheduling an appointment with an advisor can be done by visiting the online catalog via http://acalog.westshore.edu/index.php and selecting your pathway. The pathway advisor’s name, email address, and appointment scheduling link will be listed at the top of the page

Changing Your Schedule

If you are in good academic standing and you need to change your schedule, you may do so via my.westshore.edu. Check the Academic Calendar for information on specific add, drop, and withdrawal deadlines.
