College Offers Facilities Due to Power Outages

Due to the widespread power outages as a result of severe storms, West Shore Community College is offering the use of the shower facilities, in both the Recreation Center and the West Shore Community Ice Arena, to area residents.
“We recognize the inconvenience of not having a warm shower at home and this is one way we can help until the power is restored,” said Thom Hawley, Executive Director of College Relations.
Residents wishing to use either facility should bring their own towels and toiletries. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Those using the facilities are asked to check in to the Rec Center office.
Rec Center hours are Mon./Wed./Fri., 6 a.m.-.8.p.m.; Tues./Thurs., 7 a.m.-.8 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m.- 8 p.m.; and Sunday 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.
The ice arena hours are Thurs – 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Friday – 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
