College Level Examination Program
(CLEP)
West Shore Community College is a National-Open CLEP Center and testing is offered through the Learning and Testing Center on an individual appointment basis.
All 34 CLEP exams are offered, but not all are applicable to WSCC. Those that are accepted by the College toward degree programs are listed below. A minimum score of 50 is required to receive credit on all exams and WSCC, in some instances, has a higher minimum score.
The exam fees include a CLEP fee of $90 per exam, payable to CLEP via the internet and an administrative fee of $25 payable to the College at the time of testing. There is an additional $10 CLEP fee for exams that have an essay component.
For information on exam preparation or to register and pay CLEP for an exam, follow this link. Once registration and payment have taken place with CLEP, you will receive a voucher. Print the voucher and bring it with you on your scheduled test date.
Additionally, comprehensive study guides with practice tests on CD that simulate actual CLEP examinations are offered through the Research and Education Association at this link.
