Auditions for “Mamma Mia!”

The West Shore Community College Theater Department announces auditions for the musical ‘Mamma Mia!’ on December 1 and 2, 6 p.m., in the Center Stage Theater.
“Mamma Mia!” was a smash hit on Broadway and has enjoyed years of highly successful national tours and is filled to the brim with memorable and dance-in-the-audience ABBA favorites such as “Dancing Queen,” “Money, Money, Money,” “Take a Chance on Me,” and the title song “Mamma Mia.”
Auditions are open to community members and college students ages 14 and older. Those interested in auditioning should come to auditions prepared to sing 16 bars of a song that reflects their vocal range. In addition to singing, auditionees will be asked to read from the script and learn a brief dance combination.
Rehearsals will begin on January 6, 2020, and will generally run Monday – Thursday from 6:30 -9:30 p.m. with some Saturday and Sunday afternoon rehearsals also required. Information regarding the specific rehearsal schedule will be available at auditions.
Performances of “Mamma Mia!” will run February 21, 22, 28, 29, March 6 and 7 at 7:30 p.m. and February 23, March 1 and 8, at 2 p.m.
