The West Shore Community College and Ferris State University Connections Program is an opportunity for WSCC students to participate in FSU events and hold FSU student status from the very beginning of their time at WSCC. The program is designed to create exciting experiences for WSCC students in a university atmosphere, while also building relationships at FSU to make transferring into a bachelor’s program even easier.
WSCC-FSU Connections students will be issued a FSU Connections student identification allowing access to the following privileges:
• FSU Connections academic advising
• Organized cohort-group orientations and tours at FSU
• Joint lecture opportunities for WSCC students and faculty at FSU
• Guest lecture opportunities for FSU faculty at the WSCC campus
• Access to FSU libraries
• Access to FSU recreational facilities and student organizations
• Access to FSU athletic events
• Access to cultural and social events offered at FSU
Additionally, you can expect West Shore to facilitate multiple opportunities to visit the Ferris State University campus. You will be invited to participate in collaborative programming which will serve to establish early dual-institutional identification and a synergistic transfer process. There is no cost to participate and signing up does not commit you to attend FSU later, nor does it guarantee you entry into FSU or any of its programs. Consider the program just a great way to meet new people, broaden yourself through some exciting FSU experiences, and explore a university that offers a wealth of degree possibilities to help you achieve your career aspirations.
