West Shore Community College has proven to be the leading community college in Michigan in serving low-income students. A recent report titled “The Colleges Where Low-Income Students Get the Highest ROI,” conducted by the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce, identifies WSCC as leading all community colleges in Michigan in two metrics.
According to the report, WSCC serves the highest percentage of Pell grant-eligible students among community colleges in Michigan. Furthermore, the college achieved the highest graduation rate among Pell grant recipients in the state, underscoring its unwavering commitment to student success and equitable access to education.
