Dean's List, Student Awards Convocation & Commencement

Every year, the College recognizes its students with a variety of awards for those who qualify. Whether you are working toward an associate degree, certificate, or two-year transfer degree, WSCC wants to recognize your accomplishments and success.

The Dean's List recognizes full-time students who achieve a semester grade point average of 3.75 or above with high honors and full-time students with a grade point average between 3.50 and 3.749 receive honors. Part-time students are eligible for the Dean’s List when their accumulating grade point averages meet the grade requirements of the terms in which they complete 12, 24, 36, 48 and 60 credit hours.

At the conclusion of the winter semester, students are recognized for their academic achievements and scholarships are awarded during the Student Awards Convocation. Two students are recognized as the outstanding graduate in liberal arts and sciences and the outstanding graduate in career and technical education. One student receives the community service award. Service awards are also presented to students who are active in various campus organizations.

Commencement serves as a reminder of the human potential of our graduates, illustrating the fact that personal and educational goals can be achieved by those who accept the challenges.
