Screening: A student must be at least 18 years old upon entry, must be finger printed, undergo a physical exam, physical fitness test, board interview and a reading/writing exam. A student must earn at least a grade of “C” (2.0 grade points) in each of the 200-level Criminal Justice courses in order to be police licensable. Upon completion of this degree, students are eligible for licensure by the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards.

Students are responsible for all prerequisites and/or co-requisites. See course descriptions.

This program is intended to prepare students for employment, and therefore has not been designed to transfer to senior institutions. If you are interested in transferring to a four-year institution for a Criminal Justice degree, see a WSCC advisor for a list of recommended courses.
