To assist with the presidential search process, West Shore Community College stakeholders are asked to participate in a presidential search survey.
The college is seeking the input of students, faculty, staff, administrators, college and foundation board members, as well as community members, community leaders, and alumni.
The WSCC Board of Trustees have reviewed the application materials received from Interim President Scott Ward. After reviewing his letter of application, resume, and credentials, the board has recommended to move forward in the presidential search process as outlined in Board Policy 1030 – A (2):
Presidential Search and Selection – A (2) The Board may consider the promotion of an internal candidate, when appropriate. Prior to promoting an internal candidate, the Board shall involve the campus and community in the process, but the final decision shall be at the sole discretion of the Board.
The survey is the primary means by which information will be gathered from the campus community and is an important step that will guide the board of trustees in making a final decision on Mr. Ward’s candidacy.
Please use this opportunity to respond and share your thoughts in the selection of a new president to lead the college. An email address will be required from those who complete the online survey. Otherwise, you may contact human resources at 843-5819 for a hard copy of the survey.
The survey will be available through November 3, 2017.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to contribute to this step of the presidential search process.
