West Shore Community College’s Business & Community Education (BCE) fall 2017 season of classes has arrived and community members can enroll online for the upcoming events and workshops.
The theme for this session is Mindful Living and Do It Yourself (DYI) Gifting.
Following the “ABC’s” of the fall season, there will be classes around apples, books, and celebrations. For those wishing to try something new involving music, Intro to Ukulele and Intro to Hand Bells are on the list.
There are 17 DYI gifting classes featuring the how to of handmade gifts including quilting, knitting, sewing, and wreath making. There is a gift wrapping class to add a personal touch to holiday packages.
Professional development classes are also on the list, featuring an Intro to Microsoft Office Suite, effective listening, and grant writing.
“As with every session, the BCE has something new to try and old favorites to keep coming back to. We are excited about our lineup of classes and look forward to participant feedback.” states Crystal Young, director of the Business Opportunity Center.
A program announcement has been delivered to households in the WSCC district and registration for BCE classes begins Sept. 18, and continues throughout the season. Additional programs are available at local chamber offices, libraries, and senior centers.
