The West Shore Community College Jazz Ensemble and the Ludington High Jazz Ensemble will join to perform a rousing spring concert on Tues., March 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Center Stage Theater, located in the Arts and Sciences Center.
The WSCC Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Associate Professor of Music Ted Malt, and the LHS Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Keith Kuczynski, will present a variety of traditional and contemporary jazz arrangements.
“The band has taken on a larger shape this semester. We added to the saxophone section and the trumpet section. It is wonderful to have experienced musicians come out of the woodwork to join our ensembles,” says Malt.
All performing groups at WSCC consist of college, community, and dedicated high school musicians from across West Michigan.
“I am excited to have the LHS Jazz ensemble perform on our upcoming concert. K-12 outreach is a mission that is embraced by our fine arts programs at the college,” Malt adds.
Ticket prices are $5 general admission or $15 unlimited family discount. All West Shore students are admitted free.
